Fourth call for applications for RISEnergy Trasnational Access – Open
Fourth call for applications for RISEnergy Transnational Access is now open!
Call topic: Innovative solutions to improve energy systems and/or reduce the life cycle cost of energy technologies, enabling a wider use of renewable energy.
Eligibility and research areas: This call is open to researchers from both academia and industry working in the areas covered by RISEnergy (biofuels, concentrated solar power, energy storage, hydrogen, information and communication technology, integrated grids, materials for energy, ocean energy, offshore wind, photovoltaics), as well as those that cross-cut the above-mentioned topics.
For further information on eligibility, application guidelines, frequently asked questions, and the list of available infrastructures, please visit the RISEnergy open calls page and the Transnational Access page.
❝RISEnergy gave us access to facilities that we would not otherwise have been able to afford as an SME. I don’t think we could have progressed our technology without this access.❞
Vincent Mc Cormack – CEO & Co-Founder of GKinetic Energy, a company developing hydrokinetic turbine technology to generate renewable electricity from flowing water in rivers and canals.
❝Sometimes, as researchers from Latin America, we assume these opportunities are not for us, that it will be too difficult to get a project approved. RISEnergy showed us otherwise. Moreover, applying to RISEnergy gave me new ideas and a real desire to come back, this time as a project leader. As a woman researcher, it mattered to see that the teams at the facility were balanced. There were women doing science alongside men, working on solar energy in materials. That visibility makes a difference.❞
Linda Viviana García Quiñonez, Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico.
We particularly welcome applications from women and researchers from underrepresented groups in energy research.
