RISEnergy is mentioned five times in the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026–2027 (Cluster 5), including a direct link to our website.
For example, under HORIZON-CL5-2027-02-D3-09: Innovative technologies and solutions to improve wave and tidal energy systems, the Work Programme states:
“Proposals are encouraged to consider, where relevant, services offered by European research infrastructures (www.risenergy.eu), as well as related projects offering access to research infrastructures in the electricity grid domain — particularly RISEnergy.”
RISEnergy appears in the general description of the Work Programme and in two specific calls:
• HORIZON-CL5-2026-04-Two-Stage-D3-02: Next generation of renewable energy technologies
• HORIZON-CL5-2026-03-D3-18: Grid-forming capabilities for more resilient and RES-based electricity grids
This reference underlines the relevance of RISEnergy’s services for applicants preparing proposals under these topics.
Are you preparing a proposal under one of these topics?
If your project aligns with the scope of these calls, RISEnergy can provide a Letter of Support (LoS). To explore this, please contact us at risenergy@for.kit.edu with a brief description of your project. We will assess whether a LoS is relevant and appropriate.
This is also a good moment to start a broader conversation. Depending on your project, there may be other ways to collaborate: if you operate a research infrastructure, we can discuss including it in the RISEnergy RI platform; and whether your proposal is in preparation or already granted, we can explore how you might join our extended network.
We look forward to hearing from you!
