Highlights from the RISEnergy event at DTU – Technical University of Denmark Risø Campus!

Two days of ideas, innovation, and collaboration: that’s what the RISEnergy community brought to DTU Risø Campus (Denmark) on November 6 and 7. Taking place right after the project’s first periodic reporting, the event celebrated key milestones from RISEnergy’s first 18 months and set the course for what’s next.

The session opened with presentations on AI in renewable energy and how innovation drives technologies from lab to market, followed by the panel “Accelerating Innovation for Renewable Energy Technologies.” Moderated by EERA’s Secretary General Adel El Gammal and joined by Wolfram Sparber (EUREC), Mayo Garcia Rafael (CIEMAT), Thomas Garabetian (SolarPower Europe) and Ignacio Marti Perez (DTU), the panel discussion highlighted RISEnergy’s role in linking Europe’s research infrastructures and advancing low-carbon innovation.

The project meeting that followed presented Work Package results from recent months, showing strong engagement across all areas. With +130 applications, +40 research infrastructures already requested, and a network spanning +15 countries, RISEnergy is shaping Europe’s renewable-energy research ecosystem.

Day 2 featured a closed working session with the Project Officer and their team dedicated to reviewing progress and aligning on next steps for the upcoming phases of the project.
