Description

The High Temperature Processes Laboratory (HTPU-LAB) is dedicated to supporting materials synthesis, characterisation, and testing. It is equipped with a laboratory-scale 7kWe high-flux solar simulator and high-temperature furnaces capable of reaching up to 1700 ºC. The lab provides access to high-performance material characterisation equipment from IMDEA Energy, including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), Thermogravimetric Analysis/Differential Scanning Calorimetry (TGA/DSC), and UV/VIS/IR spectroscopy. The services offered include material synthesis, advanced materials analysis and characterisation, surface treatment, metallography, micro-hardness analysis, and thermal analysis.

Testing Capabilities

Testing capabilities include material synthesis, advanced characterisation, and testing, supported by high-performance equipment including a 7kWe high-flux solar simulator and high-temperature furnaces. The lab provides access to various analytical tools such as TEM, SEM, XRD, ICP-OES, TGA/DSC, and UV/VIS/IR spectroscopy.

Technical Equipment
