Description

The Solar Tower Testing Facility (STTF-100) is a central receiver-type solar concentrator that contains 36 heliostats with 16 reflectors, each in a compact staggered cornfield pattern, with a total aperture of 224 m2. The solar tower was designed for a nominal thermal power of 100 kW at working temperatures above 500 °C. All heliostats have 2 axes trackers controlled autonomously by a wireless network, with an error below 1.75 mrad.

Technical Equipment
