CENER-SOLPVLAB

CENER’s Accredited PV Components Testing Laboratory

TA62CENER-SOLPVLAB

Location

CENER, C/ Ciudad de la Innovación nº 7

31621 Sarrigurren,  Spain

Description

CENER’s SOLPVLAB is a worldwide recognised photovoltaic (PV) testing laboratory and has a track record in indoor and outdoor testing for PV components. This infrastructure offers access to:

  • IEC-accredited testing laboratory for the application of specific protocols for the characterisation and aging of PV components (modules, trackers, inverters,…).
  • A tailored designed set-up for quantifying soiling and cleaning system damage onto PV modules.
  • Outdoor testing field, which consists of more than 600m2 for outdoor testing of PV components (PV modules, trackers, inverters, etc…).

If you are interested in carry out one of the following tests, this is the infrastructure that you need:

  • Testing for performance and safety qualification of all PV module technologies including c-Si and other BOS components
  • Research and development and testing of new products with integrated PV
  • PV modules characterisation, analysis of defects and working conditions by means of imaging techniques (electroluminescence, lock-in thermography…)
  • Accelerating aging tests
  •  Tests corresponding to individual phases of the regulation and “made-to-measure” tests defined in order to assess prototypes or process modifications
  • Testing the impact of cleaning devices on the performance of PV modules
  • Outdoor testing in different configurations.

During the tests you will be supported by the CENER researchers working in both research and commercial projects related to PV technologies.

Testing Capabilities

Testing capabilities include components and material measuring and characterisation. CENER provides access to an IEC-accredited testing laboratory for PV component characterisation and aging, a set-up for quantifying soiling and cleaning system impacts, and an outdoor testing field of over 600m² for PV components.
